What to See and Do | As the gateway to Torres del Paine, in Puerto Natales there’s plenty to explore. If you have a few hours, a walk along the boardwalk will give you some incredible views overlooking the water. If you continue to walk north you will be able to find The singular, a historical Hotel located right on the water. This luxury Hotel was once a cold storage warehouse, and now houses a museum full of machinery from the industrial revolution. BUT, if what you really want, is some good coffee, we encourage you to go to Holaste! and try their specialty coffe. As we are right in the center of the city, you will be able to walk a few blocks and find all kind of restaurants, local boutiques, cafés and luckly for you, they are all oh! so so good.
If you have more than a few hours, we highly recommend taking half a day and explore Milodon Cave. This historic site is around 25 km outside of town – you can either go by taxi or find a local tour operator who will arrange your half-day travel for a fee. Other option is Estancia Puerto Consuelo which was originally settled in 1893. This Historical estancia is located right on the fjord with views you cannot even imagine. After a nice walk you will be able to enjoy some tea and treats in their lodge, for more information you can look their website.
